In 2019, the founder of Stimulyst, Liz J. Simpson read an American Express State of Women-Owned Business Report that illuminated the revenue disparities facing women entrepreneurs. Reading that Latina-owned firms average only $51,000 annually and that Black women-owned firms only average $24,000 annually, angered Liz into action.
Soon after, the Covid-19 pandemic hit and women accounted for 100% of the job losses in the United States which led women professionals to turn to entrepreneurship at record rates.
Liz responded by launching a free 5-day business training that thousands of women entrepreneurs around the globe enrolled and participated in.
