Let's Talk Big Money

This month I’m ecstatic to be hosting my signature event, The Corporate Client Challenge. This will be the fourth time in two years that our team hosts this series of life-changing training workshops through which we’ve now trained thousands of women consultants worldwide.

Having been over eight months since we’ve last held the challenge, I’m filled with a mix of emotions.

On one hand, I am hyped up! I can’t wait to meet the registrants and spend three game-changing days with our global community. Just thinking about it has me ready to run around my office shouting in excitement!

On the other hand, when I think of what led me to launch this global movement two years ago- I’m reminded that there is still much work to be done.

Let’s start with this startling fact: Women-owned businesses average 67% less revenue than their male counterparts.

The “business is a boys world” sentiment has (thankfully) gone up in flames over the last few decades, but many women entrepreneurs are still underearning compared to their male counterparts.

To level the parity, I believe the ability to boldly and proudly sell the outcomes your expertise creates to high-paying clients is key.

One Client Could be the Difference

Alright, I imagine you get the point – it’s time for highly-skilled, mission-driven women to take their rightful spot in the business world. But learning how to boldly earn new clients doesn’t mean you should take on as many as possible.

We all start somewhere, but spinning your wheels in an attempt to serve multiple individual consumer clients for an even smaller paycheck can leave you stuck in a cycle of barely getting by.

The good news?

You could reach powerhouse level with merely ONE client.

But not just any client, I’m speaking to what I refer to as “corporate” clients.

One corporate contract can attract an expanse of new clients and opportunities. A significant corporate client can be worth more than 50 individual consumers — meaning greater stability, greater opportunity and greater social proof.

When I read the statistics facing women in business regarding the revenue disparity…

And then I read the countless messages I receive from women entrepreneurs who are sacrificing time, sleep and peace of mind to build their business…

I see that things are not quite adding up.

Too many of us are undercharging and overworking ourselves in the pursuit of “freedom”.

While not the norm, I’ve helped several women consultants secure one corporate contract worth $100,000 – $300,000 within less than 90 days of working with me and my team.

Statistically, within two years after landing a corporate client, a women-owned business grows by 266%.

Imagine the life-changing impact that this level of growth increase creates.

If you’re averaging $50,000 in revenue, 266% growth gets you to $133,000.

(And sadly, only 12% of women-owned firms ever cross that six-figure revenue marker!)

If you’re already averaging say $150,000 in revenue, 266% growth is a substantial gain that moves you closer to $400,000 in annual revenue.

The Billion Dollar Pie

Let me tell you, Queen, there’s enough opportunity to go around.

Currently, organizations spend $64 billion on consulting in the U.S. alone.

Are you positioned to claim your fair share of this multi-billion-dollar pie?

I’ve found that there’s a tremendous lack of clarity when it comes to attracting corporate clients.

Most of the available education is centered around certifications and less around growing the necessary sales skillsets, pricing considerations, establishing positioning and cultivating business acumen.

Not only that, many women find it to be an intimidating boundary due to their own corporate trauma.

Some have left corporate with feelings of being undervalued and overlooked- thus, they fear that serving corporate as external partners will only be more of the same.

As Founder of the only business accelerator focused solely on empowering women consultants to land high-paying corporate contracts, I can assure you that you have more power to catalyze change than you realize.

Ready to discover the strategies you need to land your first (or next) corporate client?
